If you're within 25 miles of the originating dealer, you must head back there for a claim. But if you're outside that radius or the dealer is no longer in business, no worries! You can take your vehicle to any licensed repair shop during regular business hours. We ask that you leave your car at the repair facility until the repairs are complete. We reserve the right to perform repairs at a different facility than the one you choose, but rest assured, we will always ensure your vehicle is in good hands.
We require technicians to be fully qualified to perform tear-downs to the point of component failure, determine the cause and extent of any damage, and rebuild components as necessary.
We also require that the repair facility provides sufficient proof of failure by sharing a diagnostic report and a list of fault codes, if applicable. In some cases, we might also ask the facility to perform a tear-down and take photos and videos of the broken part. We know this must sound like a lot, but it is important to us that we have a clear understanding of what went wrong and how we can make it right. The report must be in digital format and contain a detailed description and cause of failure. We don't accept hand-written reports. If necessary, we reserve a right to send an adjuster to the repair facility to obtain a report of findings.
The service facility will need to provide an estimate that includes part names, numbers, as well as the facility's labor rate and time. We know it's essential to have a clear understanding of the costs and time involved, so we appreciate the detailed estimate. When it comes to repairs, 2B Safe Warranty has options to select or supply used, rebuilt, or aftermarket components if needed. We'll always work with you and the repair facility to ensure we find the best solution for your vehicle. In some cases, parts may be sent to the repair facility from an outside licensed vendor at our request.
After we review your case, we will issue an authorization number for the repairs. We will always do our best to make the process as quick and easy as possible for you. We just want to remind you that we are not responsible for any repairs that are done before we issue the authorization. It is important to wait until you have the authorization number so that you can be sure that everything is covered.
Once the repair is finished, the service facility will provide an invoice that needs to be signed by the owner of the vehicle. It is important that you check the invoice carefully to make sure everything looks good before you sign it. This helps us make sure that everything is in order and that you are happy with the work that was done.
The invoice must contain the following:
Company's name, address, phone number;
Warranty claim and contract number;
Vehicle information, VIN, current mileage;
Warranty on performed repairs and parts provided by the repair facility.
Owner's name, address, phone number.
Proof of payment by vehicle owner (if applicable).
